If you’re anything like me, this is your least favorite time
of the school year. The sun is just starting to come out and it feels like
summer, but summer seems so far away as you continually sit in classrooms and are
given your final projects and papers. The due dates given at the start of the
semester are looming and your motivation is very small indeed. Solution?
Procrastination.
- Okay. Registration for next semester finished.
- Time to focus back on this semester.
- Whoo-hoo! Only two weeks of classes left!
- Then finals.
- Ugh.
- But then summer.
- Yay!
- Oh no that means I have two weeks to finish that final research paper.
- Eh. I can write six pages in a night. That can wait for a couple days.
- Besides, it’s nice out.
- Puppies!
- Is it wrong to wear flip-flops in 50 degrees?
- Nah. It’s practically summer.
- Why must classes be inside?
- Let’s be honest, if they were outside I wouldn’t pay attention.
- Puppies everywhere!
- Focus. Write your list. There’s a lot to do in two weeks.
- I should probably email my group members for that presentation.
- I did research for that already, right?
- Yes, yes I did. When we were assigned three weeks ago.
- Okay, meeting is set. Did I just volunteer as group leader?
- Forget about it for now.
- Many I should start that paper…
- Finals schedule. This is too real.
- I knew that eight AM final was coming but it stills hurts.
- Cumulative finals?
- I literally have not thought about Chapter One since the first day of class.
- Seriously, prof.
- Oh good, some of these are midterm-on.
- Wow, that was before spring break.
- How did we learn so much stuff in seven weeks?
- I feel like the semester just started.
- I feel like the year just started.
- Start on that study schedule.
- I am feeling absolutely no motivation right now.
- There’s probably something inspiring online.
- Was I really just on my phone for an hour?
- Whoops.
- I need a nap.
- …only two weeks of classes left.
